Our Dancing Birds have always been unique, entertaining garden art, but more and more we have been receiving e-mails from our customers with stories and other uses for the birds.
Here are some of the neat uses our customers have found for the birds:
- Protecting gardens from pesky critters such as deer, squirrels, and rabbits
- Keeping squirrels from jumping on bird feeders
- Protecting expensive Koi when placed next to fish ponds
- Warding off pigeons and geese
- Uniqueness and movement of the birds can attract attention to stores
We are so happy to hear about how much our customers enjoying their birds! Here are a few stories that really touched our hearts:
- One woman sent us an e-mail about how much her eight month old
grandson loves to watch her egret dance in the back yard.
- A man in Wisconsin told us about he placed an egg under his egret, and
eventually decided to buy another bird when the egg never hatched.
- One family had their egret next to a pond on their farm, and a white goose,
whom they now call "Gracie", befriended the dancing egret. Gracie would lay next to the egret everyday, and after an unfortunate incident with the lawn maintenance crew, Gracie became very depressed when her energetic egret friend disappeared. The family, concerned about Gracie the Goose's happiness, decided to order another egret to put next to the pond.
Customers have also told us about birds that have flown long distances to make happy homes in countries across the world. So far, we have heard about birds that have traveled to Australia, Canada, England, France, Germany, Holland, India, Ireland, Sweden, and Switzerland!
Do you have any stories about your birds? We would love to hear about them! Feel free to let us know how much you enjoy your dancing bird!
