FDB's Great Blue Heron dances on the slightest breeze.  Our special hinge allows it to swivel and dip atop a 35" galvanized stake.  It is 24" long x 6.5" wide.  Made from UV-resistant PVC, entirely hand painted & hand formed, it is durable in day-to-day weather.  Simply lift off the stake to take in during severe weather or extreme temperatures. Made in the USA.

"Widespread and familiar (though often called "crane"), the largest heron in North America. Often seen standing silently along inland rivers or lakeshores, or flying high overhead, with slow wingbeats, its head hunched back onto its shoulders. Highly adaptable, it thrives around all kinds of waters from subtropical mangrove swamps to desert rivers to the coastline of southern Alaska. With its variable diet it is able to spend the winter farther north than most herons, even in areas where most waters freeze. Formerly often shot, simply because it made a conspicuous and easy target, but this rarely occurs today. Colonies may be disrupted by human disturbance, especially early in season. Still common and widespread, numbers probably stable." - Audubon

I bought my first dancing bird in Florida about 8 years ago. Since then I have added 5 more to my collection. I’ve always had them by my pool. This year I took a chance. My local deer were eating my hibiscus. I’ll put one of the Blue Herons by it and IT WORKED. The deers are afraid of it. I’m moving my two other herons to the front yard. Guess it’s time to order more.
